Responsibilities
Many surveyor fields have similar responsibilities. Due to lack of space, only general surveyor's responsibilities are listed here.
Together with surveying, managerial responsibilities are also listed.
Surveyor
* Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.
* The carrying out relevant inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan.
* The production of survey information to enable the completion of As-built records.
* Carrying out activities in a safe manner in accordance with the project Safety Plan.
* Keeping the Maintenance of Quality Management System records.
* Accurately maintaining the level book, noting against each record the date, location and serial number of equipment used.
* Ensuring construction operations, conform with Contract requirements, using agreed procedures and competent personnel as applicable and ensuring that the required level of quality is maintained throughout the construction process.
* Co-ordination and supervision of Sub-contractors in the performance of their assigned Scope of work.
* Informing senior management of any non-conformances or poor workmanship.
* Ensuring all site personnel have the relevant information to carry out their duties.
* Ensuring there is minimal environmental disturbance during construction works and that the project environmental requirements are met.
* Ensuring only the latest issues of drawings are being used.
* Ensuring all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer's recommendations, current working practice, contract specification or project requirements.
* Assisting Site Manager and Project Planner in updating KPI's, material reconciliation and progress reports.
Project Manager
* Developing the project plan
* Managing the project stakeholders
* Managing the project team

* Managing the project budget
* Managing the project conflicts
CAD Manager

Assists in training lower-level Designers in various procedures.

Collaborates with Engineers and other engineering disciplines to ensure quality of design.

Completes all drafting assignments on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.

Completes the most complex and difficult designs and layouts for complete systems and components of a project.

Ensures compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and client requirements.

Improves the quality of work produced by CADD Operators. Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of the assigned personnel. Maintain the latest drafting standards and provide necessary training to CADD personnel.

Provides direction to a team of checking personnel, ensuring the mathematical accuracy of the drawings produced.

Performs front-end layout and design of complex systems and equipment applicable to the respective discipline.

Performs interdisciplinary reviews and provides coordination of data to ensure a compatible design.

Performs specialized design computations and analysis within a given discipline.

Provides feedback to Management regarding requirement of new software or modification of existing software.

Reviews supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.

Standardizes the daily activities and ensures the implementation of Quality Procedures in the CADD section.

Supervises the group of CADD Operators by directing technical engineering assignments and coordinating project staffing assignments. Schedules the activities of drafting section.

Understands and applies commonly used company design standards and methods.

Assists in the establishment or revision of guidelines and standards.
Design Manager
* Working with clients to effectively develop and deliver a design project.
* Being responsible for the creative aspects of the project as well as making sure it is completed on time.
* Working on cost, scheduling, technical issues and overall productivity of workers.
* Supervising workers and communicating expectations for the project to them.
* Enforcing policies an procedures to assure the deign project is completely properly.
* Working with human resources by training, counseling and reprimanding employees.
